With my sister Viv looking after Mum, today Sue and I had free time to do as we please. I did all the housework, dusting, polishing and vacuum cleaning whilst Sue read a book. Not exactly true, Sue did all Mum’s washing and cleaned the bathroom and Viv popped round for a catch up. We also had a 5 minute hailstorm, very exciting but garden looks dry as a bone again now. Next door have about 10 or so teenagers round for a party in the garden. I have my doubts that they are maintaining 2m distance between each other. I find it strange that mother is a teacher and appears to be in the party. Particularly annoying as young Jasper from next door the other side wanted to show us some mistletoe berries he is making into glue and and we had to keep our distance, which he just about understands because his parents are very good and have explained how the virus spreads. Hardly a good example being set from the party!

Caremark, the new carers we have appointed are able to provide a carer for mum from 8.45pm till 9.30pm. They will start early next week after an assessment. Hopefully that will help us if Mum has her anxiety attacks in the evening and the carer is there to save me keep going to calm her down. Needless to say she hasn’t had any anxiety attacks since Viv moved in for the weekend.

Tonight I did a bit of gym work then I did a 4.2 mile easy run around Loose. A couple of encounters with dogs so on return I politely asked for some control by dog owners on our local Facebook page. Amazingly I am getting a string of responses all supporting me in the case I made. It is surprising how many people like me are scared of dogs.

Viv’s last day tomorrow so all being well Sue and I are taking the bikes to North Kent coast for a leisurely ride along the coast to Westgate and back. Looks like being a nice day.

Toby’s birthday today and a new bike I hope he had a great day.
