UK Govt Foreign Office have now advised no non-essential travel to Spain. In effect that means, travel insurance will be invalid and not a good idea to go against that advice. We will make a decision on 22 Aug whether on not to cancel. If it stays the same advice which is highly likely with Spain’s increasing cases, then we will cancel our holiday. At least we have a short while to think about it. There are thousands of holiday makers due to go today, now cannot. TUI have cancelled all flights to Spain. This pandemic is not looking good some 4 months on.
Now about my tooth! Last night I had a full night’s sleep with no Ibrobufen. Felt better today just a discomfort around the tooth. I have one more day of anti-biotics. I will phone dentist tomorrow and make an appointment to have the tooth re-filled. I don’t want the hole in the present filling to attract another infection, very unpleasant.
Lovely day today so Sue and I had a very steady bike ride to Headcorn Airfield. Watched Spitfires, Harvards and parachutists, very nice. A gentle ride back with a walk up East Hall Hill. 23 miles in all. Stuart and all the family are staying for two nights on 8th Aug. I will put up the tent for the boys to sleep in. I have also booked all of us on kayaks for Sunday 9th at Bodium, so should be a fun weekend.
