Good that I am on my last day of anti-biotics and the pain has diminished somewhat, although it still feels uncomfortable. Good that Garmin is back up and running after a ransom cyber attack turned it off for several days. Good that I had my first swim in the pool today. I managed 1500 metres in the allocated time, but this evening I am feeling the effects. My last pool swim was early March.

Not so good, got a call from Barty today, they are tightening up visiting arrangements. From now on only a nominated visitor can visit the home. Logic says it has to be me but that means poor Viv cannot get to see her next weekend when she travels down. I will go instead. I don’t know the reason or how long it will last.

On the global front UK have extended the non -essential travel ban to the Balearics which have a fewer case rate than us! I think there is a lot of politics in this now. Over a million Brits in Spain now having to isolate for 2 weeks on return. Some flights have stopped flying there but others have continued so refunds will be nigh impossible. As for us, it’s looking far less likely now that we will go. However, if I can move our ferry booking to October it might give us a chance. The extra problem is if we go away for a month as planned, there will be nobody allowed to visit Mum for that time, so the pressure on me to hang around home is now greater. Good news is we are all still healthy and have avoided Covid. We will continue to take all precautions to ensure it stays that way.
