I returned to Leybourne Lake today. A pleasant day, so as Sue’s blood donor session had been cancelled due to the Virus she came with me. Sue walked, I swam! This was the first time that I had used my new watch in open water, it marked a good course, but I needed another 5 metres to match the distance in next year’s triathlon. Shouldn’t be a problem, it’s the 67 miles bike and half marathon run that is the big challenge!

Next door neighbours party on Saturday night was rowdy and into the early hours. Massive complaints from neighbours.Today we had a letter of apology from the daughter who was holding a 20th birthday party. Sue and I spoke to her Dad this morning, expressing our concern, he was very apologetic. All amicable but I hope there isn’t a repeat of that again.

A lot quieter last night (Sunday) Viv and Steve arrived for a BBQ after Viv had been to see Mum. A great surprise for Mum and everything was fine, they had a great hour together. From now on it is just me to visit unfortunately, first one this Thursday.

We had a lovely BBQ and spent some quality time with Viv and Steve. Great evening. Just heard from Viv that they have arrived safely in Devon to see Malc and family for a few days. As the Virus cases increase in Spain and France and in parts of UK our holiday is rapidly becoming less less likely. We have set 22nd Aug as our deadline to decide. We have today heard back from P&O Ferries that we can cancel with a refund if we want. That might be the best option and think again next year.

A Perimeter + a Half 1995.2 metres.
