No, not what you think. Sue and Maggie trialled the Race for Life 5km and managed it well, so they will be ready to do it again on 26th. Meanwhile I did an elevation run to try for a place in the top three this week on our club leaderboard. I ran up to Linton cross roads via Loose village, back down into the village and up Old Loose Hill then back down again and ran up Old Loose Hill again. I managed 358 ft vertical climbing in a distance of 4.3 miles. I was pleased with that and I jumped into 2nd place. However, I have just checked the leaderboard and one of our young superstars went for a run this evening and has pushed me down to 4th. This weeks competition is now closed! I am gutted, still I am not competitive so it doesn’t matter at all:)

Viv contacted me this afternoon to say she was collecting Steve back from hospital. I haven’t heard any further yet so I assume he is home and resting.

It’s been a warm sunny day today so did a bit of gardening and a bit of resting in the sunshine. Also managed to get some clothes ready for the Devon trip on Tuesday. I lay the clothes out on a bed and then Sue tells me what I should and shouldn’t take. Meanwhile as we have plenty of space in the car, Sue has case loads of stuff. Next two days are looking to reach 29 degrees so a gentle morning in the garden then off to see Mum in the afternoon. Weather in Devon when we are there is cooler but still quite pleasant. Not a lot of rain about.
