We decided to get some fresh air today between the heavy rain showers so we went to the cliffs between Folkestone and Dover and walked some of the new pathway which has been recently completed by Sustrans. No traffic allowed, only bikes and walkers. It is tarmac to allow push chairs, wheelchairs etc to enjoy the lovely route. It stayed mainly dry apart from walking back when a shower wet us a little. In between showers the coast of France was clear across the sea.

We didn’t have time to complete the walk from Capel-le -Fern to Dover as we had a phone call from Mike asking if he could drop the boys off with us later in the afternoon. They are now with us until Wednesday, so we need plans for tomorrow. Sue and I will return to Folkestone sometime in the not too distant future to complete the entire route including Samphire Hoe.

Mike and family had a lovely fun and interesting week in Sussex and they were very impressed by their trip to Portsmouth Harbour where they went on HMS Warrier and Victory. I hope they are not too disappointed with Chatham Dockyard when we visit on Tuesday.
