The big day arrived yesterday, the weather was fine and not too warm and the team made it from Swanley to Maidstone in 7 hours. A few aches and pains this morning and some minor blisters. So no injuries or accidents so it all went well. The previous few days I spent a lot of time doing interviews with local radio and ITV News filmed our start at Swanley Primary School. Hoping it will be shown this weekend. More to come on this when photos are available. We have raised over £2k so far.

On Sunday it will be Mum’s 96th birthday. Sue and I visited her on Wed. She is still doing well but is a lot more forgetful and frail but she certainly hasn’t lost her marbles! On Monday I will be in contact with social services as a decision on Mum’s future will need to be decided very soon.

Covid cases still rising but hospital cases and deaths low so it looks like the vaccines are working. A few more countries including the Balearics are on Green now so no quarantine required. Mainland Spain still on Amber so our trip to the villa remains in doubt.

Euros football has been going on. England and Wales have both qualified in the group stages but Scotland are out. Wales play Denmark tomorrow and England play Germany on Tuesday. Wimbledon starts on Monday.

Mum looking good. Who is the Nurse?
