Well, we only averaged 10 mph for this event but that was due to my total lack of hill climbing ability. The course started at Gatwick village and took in flooded roads, hailstorms and gale force winds. It covered nearly 1000m of climbs including the ‘The Wall” or Kidd’s Hill. Although I was extremely slow, I did enjoy the plod up to the top where Stu and Steve had been patiently waiting for me.. See video and picture below.

I can’t say I enjoyed this event- too early in the year, that’s one of my excuses, however, it was a new area and now it’s finished I am glad I did it.
